in public in the town of Noshahr (northern Iran) yesterday,
after serving five years in prison for murder.

Tehran, Jan. 06 – A 32-year-old man was hanged in public in the town of Noshahr (northern Iran) yesterday, after serving five years in prison for murder.

Bagher Soleimani had been accused of stabbing to death Khosro Ahmadbeygi on February 4, 2000 after a scuffle over a coat.

His appeal was recently rejected by Iran’s Supreme Court.
