Tehran, Iran, Dec. 20 – Iranian authorities hanged four people, including a woman, in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, state media reported on Thursday.

All four were hanged on Wednesday, the official daily “Iran” wrote.

The three men were identified as, Qasem Yaqoubi, 29-year-old Reza, and 28-year-old Erfan. They were accused of murder and rape.

The woman was identified only by her first name Zahra. She had been found guilty of poising her husband to death.

Student organisations in Tehran had previously announced that a woman by the name of Zahra N. was to be hanged on Wednesday.
