Tehran, Iran, Sep. 12 – A young Iranian mother was sentenced to execution in the town of Langaroud, northern Iran, the semi-official daily Jomhouri Islami reported on Monday.

The young woman was identified as 19-year-old Hajar Vafi from the nearby town of Lahijan. She has a two-year-old infant.

She was sentenced to execution after an Islamic court in Langaroud convicted her of murdering her aunt earlier this year following a dispute over money.
