According to the ruling issued by Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolghasem Salavati, and served to Akbari Monfared two days ago, he was sentenced to death on the charge of baghi through membership in the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

The prisoner is currently being held in Evin Prison and was tried before the same court several weeks ago.
