Iran Revolutionary Guards chief: U.S. losing in Iraq, Middle East

Iran Focus: Tehran, Iran, Sep. 14 – The commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said that the United States had been unable to control unrest in neighbouring Iraq, while the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the IRGC said that Islamic spirituality was aiding individuals who stood against American aggression, during a ceremony attended by top Revolutionary Guards commanders. Tehran, Iran, Sep. 14 – The commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said that the United States had been unable to control unrest in neighbouring Iraq, while the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the IRGC said that Islamic spirituality was aiding individuals who stood against American aggression, during a ceremony attended by top Revolutionary Guards commanders.

“The Americans have control of the scene in Iraq as a region priority, however they have hit two snags; they cannot use military expenses in their favour and have not been able to end insecurity in Iraq” IRGC chief, Brigadier General Rahim Safavi, said.

On the Middle East peace process between the Israeli and Palestinian administrations, Safavi that the recent Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip was a “great loss” for the U.S., adding, “The Americans are afraid of the coming together of Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, and Iraq and for this reason they seek political control and stability in favourable of the Zionist regime”.

The cleric Mohammad-Ali Movahedi-Kermani, the Supreme Leader’s representative in the IRGC, told the gathering, “If today America has admitted its weakness on a number of occasions and has become stuck in the face of the resistance of awake people, all of this is because of the existence of spirituality in Islamic countries”.

“Following the line of the Vali-e Faqi [Khamenei”> means that one must adhere to all of his orders and instruction, otherwise a person would be following Satan”, Movahedi-Kermani said.
