Tehran, Iran, Feb. 28 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met and held talks with Sudanese leader Omar al-Bashir on Wednesday in Khartoum, the official news agency IRNA reported.

Ahmadinejad’s entourage included Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Minister of Industries and Mines Ali-Reza Tahmasbi, and Minister of Agriculture Jihad Mohammad-Reza Eskandari.

The United Nations Security Council has imposed economic sanctions on Iran over its nuclear defiance.
