Tehran, Iran, Jul. 18 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will make a state visit to Syria to meet and hold talks with Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad on Thursday, state media reported.

State television said that Ahmadinejad and al-Assad will discuss Tehran-Damascus bilateral relations and regional issues.

Regional allies Iran and Syria are both accused by the United States of being state sponsors of terrorism.
