Tehran, Iran, Jul. 25 – An Iranian military plane crashed earlier this week in the north-eastern province of Khorassan Razavi, though no one was killed, the official news agency IRNA reported.

The pilot managed to eject moments before the plane crashed near the provincial capital Mashhad on Monday, the report said.

IRNA quoted local air force spokesman Gholam-Reza Zinatbakhsh as saying that the accident was caused by a “technical defect”.

The type of plane was not identified in the report.
