Tehran, Iran, Dec. 22 – Two quakes measuring 3.5 and 3.6 on the Richter scale shook parts of the Iranian provinces of North Khorassan and Khuzestan respectively early on Saturday.

One of the quakes, which was registered at 00:21 a.m. local time (20:51 GMT on Friday), shook parts of the suburbs of Haftgol in Khuzestan, south-west Iran, the official news agency IRNA reported.

The second quake, which occurred at 00:44 a.m. local time (21:14 GMT on Friday), jolted the suburbs of Raz in North Khorassan, north-east Iran.

There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage to property.
