ImageTehran, Iran, Sep. 27 – Iran's Commerce Minister has urged China to increase the volume of its trade with the Islamic Republic, Iranian state media reported.

Masoud Mirkazemi met with his Chinese counterpart Chen Deming on Thursday in Beijing, state television said on Friday.

"For Iran and China to hit the USD 200b mark in their trade transactions within the next 10 years, the two sides must feel greater responsibility towards each other", Mirkazemi said, adding that Tehran was ready to cooperate with Beijing in auto industry and dam construction projects.

Mirkazemi also suggested that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) could play a "crucial role" in boosting bilateral trade ties.
