GS Construction says wins $500 mln plant order from Iran

ImageSEOUL, June 24 (Reuters) – South Korean builder GS Engineering & Construction Corp won a $500 million order to build a liquefied natural gas plant in Iran, company officials said on Wednesday.

GS, which will build the plant together with Iran's Pideco, received a letter of intent for the $1 billion project, a GS official told Reuters by telephone.

GS has 50 percent of the project, the official added, asking not to be identified because he was not authorised to speak to the media. (Reporting by Cheon Jong-woo; Editing by Ken Wills)
