ImageTEHRAN (Reuters) – A Frenchwoman on trial in Iran has been charged with acting against the country's national security for being involved in unrest after the June presidential vote, the state news agency IRNA reported on Saturday.

"She is charged with acting against national security by taking part in unrest … collecting news and information and sending pictures of the unrest abroad," IRNA said.

She confessed her "mistakes", IRNA added.

"I wrote a one page report about the situation in Isfahan … and handed it over to the French embassy's cultural section," IRNA quoted her as saying in court.
