ImageDec. 4 (Bloomberg) — Four British sailors arrived at London’s Heathrow airport today following their release from detention in Iran after straying into Iranian waters.

The men, Luke Porter, Oliver Smith, Oliver Young and Sam Usher, were released on Dec. 2 along with a fellow yachtsman, Bahrain-based broadcaster David Bloomer, who has Irish and British citizenship.

The four said they were well-treated by the Iranian authorities. Porter said he wanted to get home and see his parents, then would “probably head down to the pub.” Their remarks to reporters were televised by Sky News.

The yachtsmen were seized by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps on Nov. 25 after their boat, the Kingdom of Bahrain, accidentally crossed into Iran while sailing to Dubai from Bahrain in the Persian Gulf to take part in a race.
