Iran Focus: Tehran, May 31 – Iran’s Minister of Defence Brigadier-General Ahmad Vahidi and his Mauritanian counterpart announced on Tuesday that they plan to intensify defence cooperation between their two countries.

Tehran, May 31 – Iran’s Minister of Defence Brigadier-General Ahmad Vahidi and his Mauritanian counterpart announced on Tuesday that they plan to intensify defence cooperation between their two countries.

Iran’s official state news agency IRNA reported that Vahidi had travelled to the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott on Monday and met separately with Mauritian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.

Vahidi is currently wanted by Interpol for his role in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community centre in the Argentinean capital Buenos Aires.
