FIVE Russian scientists killed in a plane crash are the latest victims of an apparent curse on Iran’s nuclear programme.

They were among 44 passengers and crew who died last week outside the northern Russian city of Petrozavodsk.

There was no suspicion of foul play but the deaths of the scientists working on the programme follow the killing of an Iranian nuclear expert, the injuring of another in bomb and gun attacks and an internet virus assault.

Iran suspects Mossad, Israel’s secret service, is behind what it believes are sabotage plots.
