Tehran, Iran, Jul. 06 – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Wednesday that the only way Muslim states could “combat the threat of Israel” was by increasing collective cooperation against the Jewish state.
“All the regional countries should stand beside each other, and the main threat, the Zionist regime [Israel], should be taken seriously”, Mehmanparast told reporters in Shiraz in Iran’s southern Fars province.
“We have recommended to the regional states that the way to be strong and have real might and power is not resorting to the trans-regional powers”, he said.
He added that “enemy nations” were after creating divisions among Muslim countries of the region, warning that their main aim was to “secure the interests of the Zionists”.
