TEHRAN, April 20 (UPI) — The Iranian army plans to hold training exercises in Esfahan province, Brig. Gen. Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan said Saturday.

The Iranian army will use the Bait-ul-Muqaddas 25 war games for tactical training, and to test modern military equipment, Iran’s Press TV quoted Pourdastan as saying.

It will be the army’s second drill in the past three months.

Iranian Deputy Defense Minister Majid Bokaei said Iran successfully test-fired a medium-range, shore-to-sea ballistic mission in the Persian Gulf Tuesday.

Iran successfully test-fired three surface-to-surface domestically produced missiles April 13, the Fars news agency reported.
