Xinhua: Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud said Saturday that his country’s prime minister will participate in Iran’s upcoming presidential inauguration, Press TV reported.
TEHRAN (Xinhua) — Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud said Saturday that his country’s prime minister will participate in Iran’s upcoming presidential inauguration, Press TV reported.
“Heading a high-ranking delegation, Syrian Prime Minister Wael Nader Al-Halqi will travel to Tehran to attend Hassan Rouhani’s inauguration ceremony,” Mahmoud was quoted as saying.
The Syrian envoy added that Al-Halqi will hold talks with Iran’ s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and senior Iranian officials in order to strengthen bilateral relations on the sidelines of the event.
The inauguration of Rouhani, who won the presidential election on June 14, will be held on Aug. 4.
