Tehran, Iran, Oct. 02 Iranian youths attacked and set fire to dozens of buses when an anti-government demonstration broke out after a football match in Tehran on Friday evening, eye-witnesses reported.
The protests erupted as at least 40,000 spectators came to Azadi Stadium to watch the match between Persepolis and Shahid-Ghandi Yazd teams square off.
More than 30 buses were damaged during the protests and police attacked and detained many of the angry demonstrators.
