Tehran, Iran, Feb. 15 – Iran’s Defence Minister accused the West on Wednesday of “scientific apartheid” and rejected criticism in Western media against the Islamic Republic as a “repeated scenario”.

Speaking at the “Elites’ Convention”, Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar said, “The main aim of the enemy is to frighten the Iranian people and its officials”, the state-run Mehr news agency reported.

“Using these old methods shows their inability and weakness against the powerful Iranian nation”, Mohammad-Najjar said.

He described the United States’ “permanent enmity” against Tehran as “shameful”.
