Tehran, Iran, Jul. 10 – Two prisoners are on the run after they fatally shot a security agent as they were being transferred from court to a prison in the southern city of Shiraz, a state-run daily wrote on Sunday.

While being transferred from a court overseeing their case to Adel-Abad Prison, the pair, identified only as Kazem and Moussa, grabbed a gun and shot and killed a prison guard and a driver, according to the daily Sharq.

They then fled the scene and are still believed to be on the run.

They were initially arrested for killing the head of the paramilitary Bassij force in Garm-Abad Marvdasht.
