Iran Focus: Tehran, Iran, Nov. 23 – Iran’s population has exceeded 70 million, according to a new report prepared by Iran’s Research Centre. Iran Focus

Tehran, Iran, Nov. 23 – Iran’s population has exceeded 70 million, according to a new report prepared by Iran’s Research Centre.

Preliminary figures put the population at 70,049,262, according to the head of the research centre, Mohammad Maddad.

The same report says that the total number of households in Iran is just under 17.5 million.
