Tehran, Iran, Apr. 09 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced on Monday that the Islamic Republic had begun enriching uranium on an “industrial-scale”.

Ahmadinejad made the announcement while at Iran’s uranium enrichment facility in Natanz, central Iran.

“From today, Iran is among the countries that are producing nuclear fuel on an industrial scale”, Ahmadinejad said.

“Today, the enemies of Iran are stunned at our nation’s advancements in various fields”, he added.
