Tehran, Iran, Sep. 04 – Hard-line Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has appointed Tahmasb Mazaheri as the new governor of Iran’s central bank, state media reported on Tuesday.

The state-run news agency Mehr said that a ceremony would be held on Wednesday for Mazaheri’s confirmation.

Mazaheri is a former Economy Minister.
