Tehran, Iran, Apr. 17 – Iran’s hard-line president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday praised Zimbabwe’s National Day in a message to Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, state-run media reported.
Ahmadinejad communicated a desire for greater relations between the two nations, the official news agency IRNA said.
Zimbabwe’s National Day on April 18 comes at a time when international pressure continues to grow for a resolution to the country’s disputed elections.
