London, Mar. 25 – German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog Mohamed ElBaradei will meet in Berlin on Monday to discuss the issue of Iran’s nuclear program, Iran’s state-run media reported Saturday.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) suspects that Tehran may be working to develop a nuclear bomb.

During his trip to Berlin, the IAEA director general will also meet German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and several other top officials.

Merkel recently described the Iranian regime as a threat to the “democratic countries of this world”.
