Tehran, Iran, Jan. 22 Ali Larijani, the secretary-general of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said on Sunday that he will travel to Moscow to meet Russian officials on a Russian proposal aimed at finding a diplomatic solution to the international standoff over Tehrans suspected nuclear weapons program.
The focal point of our talks in Moscow will not be restricted to nuclear issues and we will hold talks on all fields, Larijani told the official state-run news agency after holding talks with radical Iraqi Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr.
Iran has resumed uranium enrichment-related activities at its nuclear facility in Natanz against the wishes of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Moscows proposal involves Iran carrying out uranium enrichment on Russian soil to satisfy international concerns that the end material would not be used in nuclear weapons.
