WASHINGTON, June 6 (Reuters) – Iran would be allowed to continue converting uranium for use in the nuclear fuel process as part of the major powers’ nuclear proposal, western diplomats said on Tuesday.
Central to the deal is a demand that Iran halt nuclear enrichment, a critical step in weapons production. But converting uranium, a preliminary step to enrichment, would be permitted, the diplomats told Reuters.
