Tehran, Iran, Sep. 18 – Iran’s nuclear chief will visit Russia next week to discuss an Iranian nuclear plant which Moscow is constructing under a major contract, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported on Monday.

The report quoted a spokesman for Russia’s Federal Agency for Nuclear Power as saying that the head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) Gholam-Reza Aghazadeh would travel to Russia on September 25.

“The main focus of the [planned”> meeting will be the construction of a nuclear power plant in Bushehr”, it said.

Russia is building parts of Iran’s Bushehr plant under a $1 billion contract.
