Isfahan (central Iran) – A student at the University of Isfahan: This year, the regime closed the University of Isfahan sooner than previous years in order to prevent the commemoration of the 9 July 1999 student-led uprising by students on campus.
 
Shahr-e Kord (capital of Chahar Mahal va Bakhtiari Province, approx. 107 km south west of Isfahan and 521 km southwest of Tehran) – Students: Last week, during an engineering course examination session, when students were called to utter a religious statement, they instead began chanting “God is great” and “death to the dictator”. Exam officials and agents of the campus security force Herasat were uneasy and terrified.
