Iran Focus: Tehran, Oct. 24 – From the Grapevine… Reports from the southern Tehran districts of Shoush and Khazaneh as well as Edam (Execution) Square say that leaflets have been distributed urging people to challenge Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei by taking part in anti-government protests on the Shiite holy day of Ashura (27 December).

Reports from the southern Tehran districts of Shoush and Khazaneh as well as Edam (Execution) Square say that leaflets have been distributed urging people to challenge Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei by taking part in anti-government protests on the Shiite holy day of Ashura (27 December).
 
Elsewhere in Amir-Abad and Fisher-Abad in central Tehran, near Tehran University, student activist wrote extensive graffiti on walls, calling on the public to join protests on 7 December which marks Student Day in Iran. Among the writings were slogans such as “Students are fighting, Khamenei, is shaking; don’t forget 7 December” and “We will return on 7 December; Death to Khamenei”.
