Tehran, Iran, Feb. 05 – Iran’s hard-line government vowed on Monday not to make any concessions to the international community over its demand that it suspend uranium enrichment activities.

“We have no option but to be firm and steadfast and to push ahead”, government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham told reporters at the offices of Iran’s atomic agency.

“This is the only path ahead of us, since we cannot give in to bullying and forego our inalienable rights”, Elham said.

“Any society which retreats over its rights will face further illegitimate demands”, he added, in an apparent reference to U.S. demands that Tehran also halt its meddling in Iraq and end its support for terrorist groups.
