Tehran, Iran, Dec. 07 – China has appointed a new ambassador to Iran, the official Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Friday.

Xie Xiaoyan was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotential of the People’s Republic of China to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Xie takes over from Liu Zhentang.
