On Saturday, the 15-year-old boy only identified by his first name, Arshya committed suicide by throwing himself from the roof of his house. His parents said that Arshya was under extreme social pressures.

On Wednesday evening, the 18-year-old teenager identified as Aryan committed suicide after writing a letter of apology to his parents for the stress he had caused them while growing up. Aryan jumped from the third floor of the building.

Iran has the highest suicide rate in the world, particularly among women and youths, due to severe restrictions imposed by the clerical state.
