Tehran, Iran, Feb. 05 – Iran’s new ambassador to Japan arrived in Tokyo on Monday to take up his post, state media reported.

Abbas Araqchi was met at the airport by officials from Japan’s Foreign Ministry.

Araqchi has been a deputy Iranian Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs.
