Tehran, Iran, Feb. 21 – Iran’s former Majlis (Parliament) Speaker will visit Kuwait in mid-March, the government-owned news agency Mehr reported on Thursday.

Hojjat-ol-Islam Mehdi Karroubi, who was Majlis Speaker before Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took office as President in mid-2005, will travel to Kuwait on 16 March on a four-day trip.

His trip will be aimed at expanding ties between the two Islamic states, the report said.

Karroubi visited China in December.
