Iran Focus: Baghdad, Feb. 14 – An agent from Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security was caught carrying dozens of fake passports in the central Iraqi city of Al-Amara.

Baghdad, Feb. 14 – An agent from Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security was caught carrying dozens of fake passports in the central Iraqi city of Al-Amara.

The Iranian agent was arrest along with a Saudi national who was also in possession of counterfeit passports.

A police spokesman from the town of Al-Ozir, in the south of Meisan province, told the Al-Madi daily that the two were picked up after security forces suspected that their identity cards were forged.

The pair originally claimed that they were Afghans but further interrogation led them to confess their true identities.
