ImageSTOCKHOLM, June 23 (Reuters) – Sweden on Tuesday summoned Iran's ambassador and conveyed its concern over violence in the wake of last week's elections, a foreign ministry official said. Sweden, which is due to assume the European Union presidency on July 1, expressed its concern over developments in the country after the elections as well as the restrictions imposed on media, the official said.

The Czech Republic, the current EU president, on Monday called on the bloc's members to consider summoning the heads of Iran's missions in Europe to protest against violence which followed the June 12 elections. (Reporting by Niklas Pollard; Editing by Louise Ireland)
