Iran MP: Certain people will try anything to influence the vote
A member of Irans Majlis (Parliament) from Tehran today said, It is possible that the results of the election would be similar to life and death for certain people, and in such a case they may try to do anything.
Mehdi Kouchakzadeh went so far as saying that voters in tomorrows run-off election must be vigilant to spot fraud and corruption by pollsters.
Rafsanjani approves confinement of political prisoners
Election frontrunner Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani in his second meeting in Tehran University said that political prisoners must serve their sentences in full.
Addressing a question about the possible release of political prisoners if he were elected Rafsanjani said blatantly, Those who act against the law must be punished.
During the session one student said, We want an and to supervision by the Guardian Council [Irans highest vetting organ”>, freedom for political prisoners, an end to suspensions for newspapers, and freedom after expressing ones self, to which the former President replied, All this must be in the framework of the law and those who act against the law must be punished.
A chorus of boos filled the auditorium in response to the 70-year-old clerics remarks, with many students chanting, Free political prisoners.
Irans run-off election will not be held in Canada
Voting in the run-off elections will not take place for Iranians residing in Canada. Officials of the Iranian regime in Canada said that they did not have enough time to make the necessary preparations.

A member of Irans largest student group, the Office to Consolidate Unity, called on the government to refrain from supporting a particular candidate of its choice ahead of tomorrows run-offs.
Al-Reza Bayatian also hinted that the government was attempting to influence people to vote for a particular candidate, in some cases threatening them.
