Tehran, Iran, Oct. 18 – Iran’s para-military police, the State Security Forces (SSF), have been given unlimited powers to raid and search premises in the north-eastern province of Khorrasan Shomali, the chief prosecutor of the town of Bojnourd announced.

“To combat decisively and legally against trouble-makers and motor-cyclists creating trouble on the way to girls high schools, judicial powers have been given to State Security Forces”, the town’s prosecutor said after a meeting with senior police commanders in Khorrasan Shomali province, where Bojnourd is based.

“In this order, it has been decreed that all chiefs and commanders of security centres are allowed to even search for trouble-makers in their hideouts and homes”, Pirghazi said, adding that no warrants were required for such actions.

“Maintaining national security is of high priority and anyone who tries to ignore that and create disorder in national security will be dealt with decisively and legally by security forces and the judiciary”, the prosecutor added.

“Those who disrupt national security must not feel safe in society”.
