Tehran, Iran, Nov. 01 – The editor of a local Iranian daily was kidnapped and had his ear cut off in the northern town of Sari, state television reported on Monday.

The editor-in-chief of the daily Daryasar was approached and kidnapped by four armed individuals introducing themselves as police.

The individuals took with them his money, car, and identity papers and cut off one of his ears.
