Tehran, Iran, Mar. 24 – A senior Iranian cleric accused the West of lying about the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.

“The World Arrogance (West) is lying to the people of the world about the nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran”, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami-Kashani told worshippers in Tehran during the first Friday prayers gathering of the new Persian year, adding that Tehran would not back down in its quest to obtain nuclear capabilities.

“The World Arrogance has been waging this campaign to weaken the Islamic world and make the Islamic Republic exhausted. It does not know that our nation and our young men follow the line of the Prophet who had decreed that doubt belongs to the devil and therefore the nation will avoid any doubt and will stress its right”, Emami-Kashani said.

“The enemies of Islam whose roots go back to the Zionists naively wish to put out the sun, but they do not know that their actions have an opposite effect and Islamic thought and culture will become more widespread”.
