How Iran regime shaped a proxy force in Yemen

-

The National Council of Resistance has published a detailed report on how the Iranian regime has taken advantage of Yemen’s religious agitation, to form a mercenary group in that country, one is using as a medium for its hostility against Yemen and the Arabian Peninsula.

The planning for the takeover Yemen began a quarter of a century ago after the Iranian regime was defeated in the Iran-Iraq war, according to the NCRI, a coalition of Iranian opposition groups seeking democratic change in Iran.

In 1991, the regime took Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi, the older brother of Abdulmalik al-Houthi the current leader of Ansar Allah group, where with the help of these mullahs, he founded the Al-Haqq (The Truth) in Yemen and took part in the 1993 election, becoming a member of the parliament. . Upon orders from the clerical regime, the Al-Haqq in 1997 and established a group called the Shabab al-Mu’mineen “The Young Believers” using Lebanese Hezbollah as a model. This group was later called Ansar Allah, and today functions as the mercenary of regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and the Qods Force (QF). Having occupied the capital of Yemen, as well as large swathes of the country, they are ultimately suppressing and slaughtering the Yemeni people.

According to the NCRI, after September 11, 2001, the regime guided the Young Believers to turn ‘anti-American’, or anything deemed Western, while at the same time opposing the government of Yemen. In previous years, one of the strategies used by the Qods Force, has made its way into Yemen, hospitals, delivering medicine, are all used to cover recruiting elements for its terrorist networks.

Here, it is pertinent to know, that a large number of Houthis have received training in ‘al-Mustafa’ Society in Qom, where organization, can be seen to be a pillar of preaching fundamentalism .The clerical regime has established a close link between the Young Believers and the Lebanese Hezbollah and is trying to get Abdulmalik al-Houthi to assume a role similar to that of Hassan Nassrallah of Lebanon, but in Yemen. Moreover, some Houthis have started getting training, in order to fit the rule that has been posed by this mullah regime.

When speaking within the close circles of Ansar Allah elements, Abdulmalik al-Houthi refers to Khomeini, the clerical regime’s founder, and Ali Khamenei, the current Supreme Leader, as his leader and Imam, while distributing the messages and speeches by them ,as the true message of Islam.

Along with organizing the Houthis, it is said that the clerical regime got a cultural agreement signed between Iran and Yemen on July 5, 1995, that paved practical ways for expansion of fundamentalism and terrorism. A classified document of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization dated March 11, 1996 stipulates: “Given the new situation and conditions in Yemen and the inclination of its authorities to expand relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in every aspect and the presence of Zaydiyya Shiites and the signing of cultural agreement between Tehran and Sanaa”.

Hence, this shows the importance of maintaining a presence in Yemen, for the Iranian regime, one that is slowly sneaking into the international news.
