Tehran, Iran, Oct. 11 – Iran’s military has developed a new 2,000-pound (900-kilogram) “smart bomb”, state media reported.

State television channels on Tuesday carried a report which said the new “optically-guided” bomb was called “Ghadr”, or Power.

The new bomb has been tested with Iranian fighter jets, the reports said, adding that it was based on the earlier-developed “Qased”, or Messenger, bomb.
