Iran Focus: Tehran, Iran, Nov. 20 – Iran said on Tuesday that it had signed a deal with Russia to purchase Russian Tupolev airplanes.

Tehran, Iran, Nov. 20 – Iran said on Tuesday that it had signed a deal with Russia to purchase Russian Tupolev airplanes.

Government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham told reporters that the contract “is in the process of implementation”.

Reuters reported on Monday that Tehran had started talks with Moscow to buy 30 Tupolev-204 passenger aircraft worth more than $1 billion.
