Tehran, Iran, Mar. 04 – Switzerland’s Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey is planning to visit Iran in late March, the government-run news agency Mehr reported on Monday.

The announcement was made by a spokesman of Iran’s embassy in Bern, who confirmed details of the trip in an interview with the Swiss daily Neue Zuricher Zeitung.

The visit follows an invitation by Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki to hold talks over the export of 5.5 billion square metres of Iran’s gas to Switzerland each year, Neue Zuricher Zeitung said.
