Tehran, Iran, Mar. 14 – At least a dozen tremors jolted parts of south-east Iran on Sunday, state media reported.

The biggest of the tremors measuring 5.1 on the Richer scale struck near the city of Birjand, South Khorrasan Province, at approximately 07.20 a.m. local time (03.50 GMT), the government-run news agency Mehr said.

The official news agency IRNA said that there were at least 11 aftershocks.

The earthquake left some minor structural damages.

IRNA separately said that an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale struck east of the central city of Yazd at 05.55. No casualties or damages were reported in that incident.
