ImageLONDON (Reuters) – Britain will work with its partners to ensure a united international position on dealing with the Iranian government following the disputed presidential election, Foreign Secretary David Miliband said on Tuesday.

"We will have to address questions about the government. I understand the inauguration of a new president is scheduled for the 26th of July. Over the coming three weeks we will be working intensively with our partners to ensure there is a united international position in respect of dealings with the Iranian government," Miliband told parliament.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been declared the winner of the election and is due to be sworn in between July 26 and August 19.
