PERTH, Nov 23 (Reuters) – Brent crude prices rose by $1 to top $78 a barrel on Monday, supported by a weaker U.S. dollar and rising tensions between Iran and Western nations.
London Brent crude for January delivery LCOc1 rose $1 to $78.20 a barrel by 0621 GMT. U.S. crude was up 91 cents at $78.38.
The dollar index .DXY fell 0.5 percent against a basket of currencies on Monday amid surging gold prices and more dovish comments from U.S. central bankers.
