Tehran, Aug. 09 – Three days of clashes between security forces and the people of Dahdez, in the south-western oil-rich Province of Khuzestan, have left seven people dead, according to eyewitnesses.
 
The deadly clashes erupted on Saturday after people in the city waged protests over serious chronic shortages and problems in basic services in the city and province.
 
The security forces used excessive force to quell the protests, forcing many residents to flee to nearby villages.
